On October 29, the Rx Abuse Leadership Initiative (RALI) of Maine and our partners across the state will recognize the U.S. Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
Take Back Day serves as an important reminder: take this time to clean out your medicine cabinets and learn how you can safely rid your home of unused prescriptions to help end the deadly cycle of addiction. Drop off your unused or unwanted medicines at the following locations:
South Portland Police Department 30 Anthoine Street, Portland, ME 04106
Rumford Police Department 150 River St, Rumford, ME 04276
Mexico Police Department 3 Recreation Dr, Mexico, ME 04257
Dixfield Town Office 26 Western Ave. South Paris, Maine 04281
Visit DEA’s Take Back Day Site Locator this month or find a drug take back center in your community where you can dispose of medications any time.
Thank you for taking simple steps to make a big difference.
