RALI Maine and Partners Highlight National Take Back Day

Saturday, April 27 is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. RALI Maine is raising awareness of the opportunity for residents to bring their unused prescription medicines to a collection site near them.

The alliance is using social media to encourage Mainers to be a part of the solution to the opioid epidemic in the state. Often people who become addicted to opioids started by misusing prescription medicines. Removing unused or expired medications from the home can help prevent this.

Information about take back locations across the state is available at takebackday.dea.gov.
